Sometimes we need an objective listener who is outside of our regular routine to help us steady ourselves through life's seasons. My ultimate goal is to create a space that is safe and validating, where you are free to be yourself without concern for judgment or criticism. You are the expert on yourself, and we will work collaboratively to define your goals and help you promote inner courage, self-compassion and confidence so you can be the best version of YOU. In our work together, I hope to help empower you to overcome fear and lean into vulnerability thereby creating stronger emotional connections with others and to build trust with yourself too. I'm a natural mediator, so I enjoy helping people strengthen communication in their relationships and find boundaries that are workable, strong and created from a loving place. You are brave to ask for support, and you can expect me to meet you where you are with care, kindness and an open heart.
Teen Counseling (age 14+)
I began my journey as a therapist working with teens and I will always hold a sacred space in my heart for what a uniquely hard and also hopeful time adolescence can be! As a therapist, it really is a privilege to be invited to join a young person (and maybe their parents too!) on this wild developmental ride. I love helping teens figure out how they fit into the world around them, who and what are important to them, and how they want to be and be seen by others. I enjoy helping kiddos build on interpersonal communication skills and learn how to treat themselves with self-compassion. The teenage years can be so tricky, and I am honored to be a trusted and objective adult to support them through these formative times.
If you are a parent or are close to anyone else who is, you know how utterly amazing parenting is and also how agonizing and exhausting it can be - all within the span of a few minutes sometimes! We can all use a little extra support to help balance us out so that we are both nurturing our child with kindness and also holding our boundaries firmly. I am trained as a Positive Discipline Parent Educator, so I will approach parenting through this lens that ultimately aims to make a child feel a sense of belonging AND significance. I hope to provide empathy, encouragement and tools to help you survive and enjoy the emotional roller coaster that is parenthood!
From time to time, I offer group therapy on the topic of Working Moms. The virtual group is a safe space for up to six working moms to come together to share in the challenges and joys of balancing career and parenthood. Moms attending this group can expect to find connection and validation around boundaries, parenting, personal growth, relationships and more. Groups meet for a series of 7 or 8 one-hour sessions. Currently, I do not have a group running; however, if this is something you are interested in, please contact me to find out more details regarding meeting times and fees, and I will reach out to you the next time we gather.

I do not take insurance at this time. This allows me to create a more flexible treatment plan tailored specifically to you with increased confidentiality and no unnecessary diagnosis. I can provide a superbill, which is a clinical receipt that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement using out-of-network benefits. Please check with your insurance provider to learn more about your out-of-network mental health coverage prior to beginning counseling with me, as I cannot guarantee reimbursement.
I have a limited number of spots available for services on a sliding scale. Please ask if this is something that you need.
